The Leinbach Legacy
My father's mother's ancestors came to America in 1723 from Germany. They settled in Pennsylvania and joined the Moravian Church, a new denomination seeking to spread its message throughout the world.
The immigrant patriarch, Johannes Leinbach, had five children who lived to adulthood. His eldest son, Frederick, settled in Maryland. Frederick's descendants were among the first settlers in Tennessee, and later, they migrated to Indiana, Iowa and Kansas.
This work traces my Leinbach/Linebaugh ancestry from Reformation Germany to pioneer Kansas.
